A Cry-Cry Day

Do you ever forget? Do you ever forget to be positive, to tell your children how much you love them instead of telling them everything they are doing wrong? Do you ever forget how to teach them instead of assuming that they will eventually get it? Do you ever forget to be happy? Do you forget to smile and have fun? Do you ever forget to stop pointing out every argument and every mistake and every mess that has been made? Do you ever forget to stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about how you can make your family better? Do you ever forget to be productive? Seriously, how can I forget that load of laundry that I have now washed 3 times? Do you ever forget to put a diaper on your baby? Do you forget how it feels to not be sick and tired? Or to sleep through a whole night? Do you ever forget how to get out of bed? Or wish that you could? Do you forget?

Oh, so many things to remember...

I've never forgotten to put a diaper on a baby, but today I left her nakie for a split second while grabbing a fresh diaper, and it wasn't pretty.

I forget lots of these other things all the time. You're not alone!

I agree with Tara-never forgot a diaper. But sleep through the night-yes. Why have I been awake since 3:12? Is there anything I can do to help? Does Jas have Monday off? Will he remember to help? Love ya!

I forget laundry all the time!! It is not unusual to wash a load multiple times or to run the unwrinkle cycle in the dryer over and over . . . Right now I forget everything that isn't written down and if it is written down, chances are that I'll forget where I wrote it or forget to look at what it is I've written! I'm all about the forgetting! I feel for you. Some days are just hard and it is easy to be hard on yourself on those days.

Have you ever got off the phone and forgot to do the one thing the caller asked? Have you ever got to a store and forgot your pin for your debit card? Have you ever walked out the door and remembered your niece was in the basement sleeping(luckily before you ran that not so import errand)? Oh I could go on and on and it only gets worse with each kids so I feel for you. Love ya!`

I forget all the time....forget sometimes that my kids are just that--kids! It's gonna be messy. It's okay to be slow. Sometimes I need to show them how to play instead of sending them off with a command: GO PLAY!
Yes, I forget and thank goodness kids forget (and forgive!) too.

My SIL sent me this awesome BYU conference talk:

I really enjoyed it. It helped me to remember to enjoy the journey more.

Do you ever leave your van doors open and are grateful EVERYTIME that your neighbor GeriDawn calls to tell you? Do you ever leave one of your children at church? Lose one of your children at an Aggie game? Looks to me that you are in good company!! I love your honesty and need to learn to be more like you!!!!

Oh, Jeri Dawn! Yes, yeah, of course. I forget a lot of things. Just like everyone else has said. The one I hate is forgetting that kids are kids. That one's the hardest one for me.

So I just saw on Shelly's blog that you're expecting. I had no idea! Anyway, CONGRATS! One more McKellar on the way!
