2008

It's funny the things you remember the ones you forget. I never thought I would forget how Sierra acted as a baby and a toddler...but I did. Watching some home videos brought back the little things. A few things about 2008...Nikell learning to walk and me discovering the little square of plastic that had molded to the roof of her mouth (being there for a month) the trauma of attempting to get it out over and over and over and then Jason popping it out after 3 seconds of trying. He is so frustrating that way.

The pure entertainment of Mialee. Although life with her is often difficult, she is also one of the most entertaining kids I have ever met. Her complete joy with a king size candy bar, having to put on all of her new swimming suits at once, enjoying a bubbly sink so much that she just can't resist somehow ending up inside, and the irrisistable urge to join Nikell in the consumption of a cupcake...

Sierra...it's hard to remember that she is 6 and not 12. She is responsible, kind, smart...just an all around people-pleaser. She will sit for an hour or two and let me give her a new hair-do. But make sure she gets enough sleep because that perfect child can turn into a hormonal mess...

Olivia, technically not mine, but as much so as her mothers :). And boy does she keep us hopping! Meggin (her Mom) is due to have another baby here in a few months and I can't wait to see the outcome. I am praying that it will have a calming effect on Oli...eventually. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid and I love her way of seeing life, but she does not understand QUIET.

Girls Camp, the Fourth of July at my Parents, my first backpacking trip...Ahh the memories. It's been a fun year. I have especially enjoyed the renewal of friendships through blogging (my biggest reason for not going private)...friends that I had some fun memories with a long time ago, and now I get to make new ones. Oh, Cindy, I was thinking about Racquetball and jogging! You sure put up with a lot from me. I don't know how you ever hung in there...thanks for your patience.

So now on to a new year...with a new baby on the way. August 3rdish... Any bets on a gender?

Yeah another baby for your family. I have no guess on gender, just a healthy new little one for me to hold. Love the recap.

Actually, I thank you for all that racquetball!! It is one of my favorite ways to exercise of all time! The jogging--still working on loving it! Congrats on the new one coming!! I'll vote girl, just because unisex households seem to be a trend these days! But if you have a boy, we could have little friends!

Congratulations on the new arrival! Three girls and a boy is not a bad household. ;) I completely share your feelings about blogging and reasons to go public. It's so nice to be able to share! (Too corny? Sorry!)

I am so excited for you! I knew Travis's dream was real!!!! I will say a boy, just because your poor husband is going to need a little more testosterone around there when those girls get to be teenagers! I love the recap and the pictures! Keep sharing! Tell Jason congrats on the marathon!

Yay! Great pictures and great recap and congratulations.
I'm guessing a girl.
50/50, right?
I am still public for the same reason. You, for one.

Congratulations JD! You didn't even tell me when you called last week. Did you find the destination you were seeking? By the way, I changed my blog name so you need to change it on your Blog Hopping Fun list. It is canadianborn7@blahblahblah. I have felt pretty lonely since no one is visiting my site:)

I don't ever know if I do these things right or if they work so I'll probably just e-mail you too. I just caught up on your blog and found out you are expecting. CONGRATS!!!! I'm hoping you get a boy just so Jason can raise a little spittin' image of himself. The world could use a few Jasons. Everything is the same on our homefront. You get my updates so you are caught up as far as the Johnson life goes.
Love,
Marie
