Will Sneezing with your eyes open really blow your eyeballs out?

Travis and Crystal came over and cut Travis's hair. When I left to put the baby down for the night, Crystal was cutting Travis's hair. When I came out, this is what I found...

Ha ha. I think Jason got a little impatient.

Later, after a couple rounds of TriBond (we are up 2-1), we discussed sneezing. I know, pretty hefty topic. But earlier, while we were up at the college for Family Aggie Day, one of the games had the question, "Is it possible to sneeze with your eyes open?" Their answer was "No,"

but Travis says yes. I tried it, but didn't get a good enough "grip" on my eye lids. So we discussed ways to keep your lids open. During the discussion I looked over at Crystal and this is what I saw...



She was quietly practicing holding her eyelids open and sneezing. The best part, though, was that she would roll her eyes down until they were lost in her head--every time she "pretended" to sneeze. I questioned this and she explained that if you really were to sneeze with your eyes open that they would roll downward, not upward. She wanted us to try it, but we were a little busy laughing...So, just for Crystal, here is the question... If you were to sneeze with your eyes open, which way would your eyeballs roll?
