One thing my girls wanted to do this summer was "Plan a Race." And thus was born the first ever "Canyon Road Fun Run." They made water bottles to hand out, printed up fliers, and started spreading the word.
They decided to break it up into age divisions. So this was Sierra's age group of kids. Unfortunately, Sierra didn't win. But she still had fun.
Mialee didn't win either and she complained a lot about not getting the first place prize (a balloon weight with 1st place printed on it). But she too had fun!
Aiddie likes hanging out with Chaz and they were a great audience.
Nikell did win her age group...by a long shot. She was such a trooper and the cutest thing I had ever seen runnin' around that block. Her age was first to run so she took a break when she got back. But, apparently she was ready to roll by the time Sierra's age group came up because she took off after them and ran all the way around again! It didn't even phase her that the big kids were way ahead...she just kept on running with a smile on her face.
And can you see Ian? He has a black glove on his hand. It was his choice of running clothes and the glove was to wipe the sweat off his forehead!We all had a lot of fun. Maybe we'll do it again next year!

What a bunch of organizers you have. Love the idea! I loved the story about Nikell. They are all winners. (This is what I tell myself after a run) They finished. More than lots of other kids their age:)
I really wish I didn't forget about it! That would have been so fun to watch! Your kids are awesome!
I am so sad we missed it. I really hope you do it again! My girls would love it!
