We went to Disneyland (which was very very fun and well worth the trip), and I lost my camera.
But it's okay, because I have a new camera. Only it's a very expensive camera and I have a horrible track record at keeping track of things. So I'm scared to take it anywhere. Plus, it's big and I have a hard enough time carrying the baby in her car seat, my purse, a diaper bag, and holding Nikell's hand. This is why I lost the other camera. Plus, I don't know how to download the pictures on to my computer. Sad, but true. Plus, I don't really know how to work it yet and I didn't want to be a lame-o and just use the "automatic" functions, but I haven't had time to take the photography class that I want to (and I will) yet.
Yeah, so another post, without any pictures.
On a new note,
It was the Ogden Marathon this weekend.
Jason was going to qualify for Boston. Yeah, then the girls got sick this week with flu-symptoms, croup, the Rocky Mountain Trots, and overall yucky colds. So...he got a cold. But it was just a cold. Not too big of a deal. Frustrating. But tolerable.
So we went down to Ogden Friday night and what happens? Sierra ends up throwing up...all night. And then Jason started in too. The poor kid hasn't thrown up in years and I think he realized how lucky he WAS. Yeah, he started trottin' too (sorry if that's TMI for ya---but ya have to realize how dehydrated and empty his body was). So what does he do? Runs the marathon anyway! I have been vascillating between being in total awe and being angry at how big of an idiot he is. Seriously. He did it though. It took him about 4 and 1/2 hours and his goal time was 3 hours and 10 minutes (I think). And he couldn't really walk when he was done. At least not over 20 feet at a time. And he's been slow recovering because he still can't really eat or drink without his stomach jumping down (or up) his throat. Hmmmm. What do you think? Super-human or Big dork?
Just another thought....this is why I can't complain when I am pregnant. He does things like running marathons when he has the flu. How can I compete with that?
Oh, yeah, and my cousin's baby (who is 3 weeks old) has spinal meningitis. He's not doing so well. So, if you can, please include them in your prayers! They need it!

Sorry Jason I am going with big dork ;). I can't even imagine running a marathon in the best of health and shape let a long the flu! Really? I don't get out of bed if I have the stomach flu let alone run a marathon. That is pretty amazing but I am going on the side of crazy! I am still impressed though!
I think he is crazy :) But I am amazed at his drive to finish what he starts...no matter what. I don't know how he does it.
Sorry about your camera. That really stinks!
He is amazing. I sure hope he recovers quickly and will keep up the running. I love talking to him about running (he's a wonderful sounding board). I hope no one else gets sick.
Your cousin and baby will be in my prayers. I am sorry for them and for you. Love you guys!
My vote is for big dork, but I understand when someone has a passion for something that NOTHING is going to keep them down. His poor body though! That is rough. I hope he gets feeling better.
I still think beig pregnant and caring for other children at the same time rivals running a marathon with the flu. His misery was four hours running and then recoup time. Pregnancy is 9 months and sometimes rest isn't even possible. My vote is you still win with the pregnancy card.
As far as sleep times- Lucy is 26 months old. She sleeps usually from 7:30PM to 7:00AM and takes a 2hour afternoon nap usuallly around 11:30ish. I was blessed with a good sleeper. She's always done well with sleep- thank the heavens! I liked your potty advice too by the way. Thanks
I could agree with Marie. I had a choice - I could have quit at anytime. I didn't have any morals or medical reasons that prevented me from quitting. When you get pregnant, you've already made your choice. How do I compete with that? (I'm not really trying to - by the way) But just so everyone knows, now I know when you call me a dork, I know that you're wondering if I'm superman!
Jason you are so dang funny! Congrats on yet another marathon! Hopefully you are feeling better! Too bad no one turned in your camera! Have fun learning the new one!
My bil and sil are crazy about running. They have each ran the Wasatch 100 mile race several times. It is really hard on the body and it is normal for someone to throw up during it and keep going. One time she broke her leg during the race and continued running for almost 20 miles (of course it wasn't a REALLY bad break, but heck it was a break) I kind of thought that was a Big Dork moment, but you have to admire their determination. Way to go Jason!
I admire him. But then I am not his wife and do not have to pick up the slack where he might have been able to help if he had not finished that dang race and returned to normal health as quick as possible. But then he has motivated me to run 2 marathons, something that I thought would NEVER happen in my life. Pregnancy...doesn't compare...It's a forever thing!
