A While back I was searching for a sure-fire way to cook brown rice...since many of my attempts have turned out less than tastey and less than appealing and my rice cooker doesn't like it. I found this interesting method...and I have to say that it works for me!Bring AT LEAST 4 cups of water to 1 cup of rice to a boil (I like a little more water).
Boil for 30 minutes.
Drain.
Place the rice back in the pan and cover tightly for 10 minutes.
Voila! Scrumptious brown rice that isn't crunchy, sticky, pasty, or burnt.
*You can add spices to your boiling water too.

Thanks for the tip. I actually am going to make a recipe this weekend that calls for brown rice, so this will be really helpful. :-)
I'm lame and use instant. I'll have to try it this way.
i know brown rice is so difficult, I went out and bought a rice cooker. Perfect every time!
