Banana-nana Fo Fanna
So I was thinking about this song today and being subjected to it as a small child. Most songs that include your name are so extraordinarily amazing for small children (Ever heard Raffi's "Willaby Wallaby"?), but I have come to the conclusion that this song is nothing but an excuse to make fun of people. Imagine, if you will, interjecting my name into this song. What did you come up with? Did it by chance include "Ferry Dawn?" Who wants to be called that? Now, as an adult, you can call me that all you want, it really won't bother me, I'm over it. But as a small child it wasn't that fun. And if you sing it to children their eyes don't light up, they look a little confused. And I agree. It is confusing having very large adult-like people happily singing a song that totally massacres your name. I vote that we ban this song. Let's start a petition.

Amen. And also lets ban calling someone a name that rhymes with theirs (for the most part). I still have scars from the name "Smelly."
I think that it isn't fair to have a hard name in the first place, and though you have a harder name than I do, it still isn't fun! I think we will put it on the veto list! I think that maybe it was made up for adults to make fun of adults...
Oh, the memories of that song. And they are not good ones. I'll vote with you!
Kids and adults don't make fun of each other because songs encourage it, they make fun of each other for FUN or because they themselves are insecure. I say we should encourage our children to have fun, follow their dreams and develop their talents. We should do everything that we can to help them discover their talents. We should also be better examples.
I love Willaby Wallaby! And are you kidding? Banana-nana is a classic. Tyler loves that song! We may have to respectfully disagree about this one.
I too love Willaby Wallaby--like I said, it's magic to a preschooler. However, Banana-Nana is just not right. Have you had Tyler checked out lately? Ha ha. Just kidding. We can disagree, but if I ever need a good judge...
Those pictures of Nikell...so dang cute! i can't get over how much she has grown! It makes me a little sad, thanks for calling the other day! you are a great friend:)
I tagged you. (like you do not have enough to do already!! right?)
