Tonight we visited some of our favorite neighbors. Here we laugh and talk and eat and talk. Tonight they made us their famous cheese-cake that is claimed to be "the best." It was. Hands down.
And to top it off, when we came home, the BOOK FAIRY had come. There on our table were piles of glorious books! THANK YOU BOOK FAIRY! PLEASE COME AGAIN SOON. WE'LL TRY AND LEAVE TREATS FOR YOU NEXT TIME. As you can see, we got ourselves a good 'ole bowl of cereal and dug right into the "Book Fairy Stash."

We also introduced Crystal to the Pumpkin Walk this week. It is a wonderful, glorious, sight to behold where people all over the Cache Valley display their creative ability to make scenes out of pumpkins. And...it's free. And...Pepperidge Farms gives you a cookie.
Yes, this is a waterfall, made out of pumpkins.

And here is Noah's Ark. The Elephant Bums were our favorite. Can you see them?

We have also been enjoying the fall, not too cold, weather. Mialee and Nikell took me for a walk up the trail that leads to campus. Nikell climbed stair after stair after stair, and she loved it. We got to the top and she was ready to keep on treckin'.

The pictures are cute. Love the elephant bumbs! Love the blogging. I get to see the grandkids.
Looks like you have had fun this week! Are we scrapbooking / visiting on Wednesday?
First of all, can I just say, I love those elephant bums!
So I talked to Chloe's therapist today. She's going to email me the names of some books, but she had to find them first. Anyway, I'll let you know once I get those.
In the meantime she recommended doing vestibular therapy (swinging, riding bikes, repetetive jumping - like on a tramp or with a jumproap). She says this is supposed to organize the brain. She also said music therapy and water therapy can be good. And any relaxation techniques that work for Mialee. Her son likes art and likes to have his own 'special place' to relax, where it's nice and quiet and no one else will come bug. Anyway, she also said Celexa can help if she's diagnosed with OCD, but until there's an official diagnosis, it's best to hold off on that.
I tried the gelatin and Chloe loved it! I also put a sock on her left hand when we play in the wheat. Thanks for the tips JD!!!
OH I meant to tell you. I have some special music therapy cd's I can send to you. Then they work best if you have noise-cancelling headphones. They have really expensive ones, but I found some that work pretty well at Toys R Us for $40. Chloe really responds to music and I really do think the special headphones and cd's are helpful. If you want to send me your address I'll mail you the cd's. My email address is manntar@hotmail.com.
thanks for the pumpkin walk! It was lots of fun! I ended up taking trav that night and my sister and her kids on monday! They all loved it. Thanks!
