Building the Magnificent Play Area and Free Fishing Day!

A long long long time ago our neighbors offered us their old, but amazingly cool, home built play area complete with play houses, slide, climbing wall, rope swing, swing set, etc. Of course I wanted it! Who wouldn't? Maybe the poor soul that had to spend 7 hours disassembling it? And so it went that we had a very large pile of wood sitting in our back yard that could possibly be something amazing someday. Someday finally came when Grandpa McKellar had pity on me and agreed to come help rebuild the pile of really cool wood. AND while Grandpa and Jason hammered and lifted and did all those manly building things, the rest of us (including Grandma and Shannon and boys) went to Free Fishing Day! Here, at Free Fishing Day, we beheld the wonders of the insect world, became "leave no trace" campers, were educated on the varieties of trout (right Grandma and Shannon?), and got free t-shirts to boot! Oh, and Grandma and Mialee caught some moss.

That looks like such a fun play set. I bet your girls love it. And free fishing - anything that is free is fun. I always loved that park.
