So, my mom had an old neighbor show up at her door this past week to request her to play the piano at her funeral. Maybe, it didn't happen quite like that, but close. And it got me to thinkin. What if you had 3 weeks to live? Jason and I have been trying to figure out who we would choose to speak at our funerals. What about you? Who would you choose to speak at your funeral? It's harder than I thought it would be... Jason and I also decided that at the next McKellar get-together we are going to play "What would you say at my funeral" instead of "I want, I need, I am..." Who's game?

We've been thinking about funerals a lot lately - a neighbor recently passed away leaving a young wife with 3 little kids behind.
We keep talking about what would we put on display to symbolize each other and what pictures we'd show for those who wait in line to give their condolences. That's a tricky one. But the "who would speak and what would they say" game sounds like fun, too.
Travis already knows what song he wants sung at his funeral.weird. I would want whoever speaks to be good at comforting my family. Other than that, I don't think I will care a whole lot.
I can already guess what things the family might say at my funeral, so i am NOT game to play :) but i am sure i will enjoy watching everyone else!
It does make you think for sure. Hmm, you are thinking about topics to talk about. I wonder how many hours the conversation will end up being. I bet Darwin checks out mentally. I have thought about what music I want at my funeral.
I would like you to speak at my funeral because you are so amazing with words and would probably make me look much better than I could ever think to be. So plan on it, please.
