This is a view of Rabbit and Manana Islands. I don't think big rocks qualify as Islands, but what does my opinion really matter? Apparently a farmer let some rabbits go on that Island and they multiplied...so that's why it's called Rabbit Island.
Makapu'u Lighthouse.
Meet Kahina the Green Sea Turtle. He needed a rest, so he barreled through a bunch of tourists and made his way up to the shore.
This is Jason getting chased by the turtles. I was on the beach laughing at him. He would be fixing his mask or facing one direction and a turtle would sneak up on him. Totally unaware, he would put his face back in the water to meet up with a big turtle giving him the evil eye. So he would try to swim away - it's illegal to touch or aggravate turtles in any way, but apparently it's not illegal for turtles to touch you or aggravate you in any way. He ended up on top of one as it chased him around and swam under him. He said they were trying to stare him down. :)
Yesterday we went to the PCC and Jason learned how to crack open a coconut in "Samoa." So, today when he found one on the beach, it was the perfect opportunity to test out his new-found skilz. Watch carefully, he's FAST!

You guys are seriously having some adventures. I love the lighthouse view. It is not what I expected. I think I am going to set a toy lighthouse on a rock by one of the lakes and then hike above it & pretend I am in Hawaii. :) The turtle story is great and opening the coconut was pretty funny. Imagine all of that work and no coconut. :~}
Jeri Dawn, I can't believe you are taking the time to check up on Spencer's condition while you are having the vacation of my dreams (I mean your dreams) You are a very sweet friend. He is doing much better. I am cautiously optimistic, of course. But I feel peace, I think we are near the end. Thank you for your comments.
Looks like so much fun. It is too bad the coconut was dried up. I am glad you enjoyed your time together.
