Yeah, it's been a week or two. But I finished the Twilight books. So now back to business! The coast was beautiful, but I could never live there. Talk about depression! How do people live without the sun? It was amazing to see starfish, sea lions, eagles, and deer (not to mention all the tracks of all the other un-named animals) all living in the same area. My first back-packing trip was a success, but I will never ever ever wear high-top hiking boots again! Luckily I bought a spare pair of hiking sandals and Jason made sure my pack was fairly light on the way out to compensate for the lack of support (we were on slippery rocks most of the time). We ended up beating everyone out by about an hour because it rained that day and we weren't interested in stopping. So I had a chance to wash my hair! It was fun to sleep in the rain-forest, yards away from the beach and live out of a back-pack. The storm-strewn coast was amazing. I can't even imagine the magnitude of the storms that would wash up whole trees and whatever else. While we were there a helicopter flew in and landed on the beach just up from us (at night). A scout group was up there and one of the leaders had fallen 40 feet from a rope swing. He broke the ball off his hip rotator bone thing, broke his pelvis, tibia, fibia, and collar bone, punctured a lung, hit his head, and compressed his spine. OUCH! Glad it wasn't us! Enjoy the pics!

Glad to see some pictures of your trip. Living out of a backpack... don't think I could it.
Other than no sun, it looks like it was fun. Glad you had a good time, and you made it home safe and sound.
Oh my goodness Jeri Dawn! It's Tara (Mann)! I happened to see your name from a comment you left on Jamie's blog, and I was so excited! Your little princesses are darling. Glad to see you're doing well and now I'm going to keep peakin' at your blog. There's a link to Matt O's blog under e-pals on mine. Crazy small world.
oh p.s. my husband went to his mission on the Washington Coast. It is just about one of our favorite places. So pretty.
