What do you call it when your tummy bubbles and air escapes from your nether regions?

We tend to lean toward "foofer" but I must admit that I do call it a "fart" every now and then. REALLY, it's not something I ever thought about until I had kids and all of the sudden had to put a name to it... Right now, Nikell, cannot distinguish between "foofering" and pooping. Those little bubbles escape and she says, "I pooped? Oh, I okay."

Do you have a non-vulger name that you prefer?

I personally hate the fart word. Grandpa Dave called them burp in the pants when he was young. Some burps come up and some burps go down.

We call them a toot a lot. I laughed so hard at that poor baby scared by his own toot. I just don't understand how Brooke at 6 months already laughs when she toots.

We go by the terms: toots, windy, and a pooter. Don't ask where "pooter" came from. I have no idea!
